Los Angeles, CA - Southern California-based pop/rock band Adam's Attic will be performing a free concert to benefit Toys for Tots from 7-9pm on Saturday, December 13 at the Anaheim Packing District located at 440 S Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805. The concert and toy drive is a collaboration between Adam's Attic, the Anaheim Packing District, and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. This family-friendly, all-ages event takes place during Anaheim Night Market, which features local crafters, artisans, and holiday music. Adam's Attic is scheduled to perform on the Mezzanine stage. Four uniformed Marines will also be present to assist with collecting the toys.
The benefit performance will mark Adam's Attic's second appearance this holiday season after successfully kicking off the toy drive with a free concert on November 8. Toys for Tots drop-off containers for donations of new, unwrapped toys are still available through December 13 at the Anaheim Packing District.
For nearly 20 years, the Toys for Tots program has collected and distributed toys to less fortunate children across all 50 states. The non-profit's major corporate sponsors for 2014 include Toys R Us, Delta Airlines, Hallmark, Walgreens, The Walt Disney Company, and many more. The organization's goal with each toy delivered is to inspire and help less fortunate children to become responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
The military connection behind Toys for Tots resonates powerfully with the members of Adam's Attic. Having grown up with family members in the military, Joe Henry (singer/songwriter), Derek Henry (bass guitarist), Scott Boaz (drummer), and Frank DeSalvo (guitarist) appreciate the sacrifices that U.S. military personnel make in service to their country. They understand the importance of bringing a piece of home to the troops abroad, and have proudly performed as part of Armed Forces Entertainment. "We're able to do what we do – to freely play music – because of those who serve," says Joe. "It is humbling, and our honor and privilege to provide our support."
The free Toys for Tots concerts in Anaheim highlight a banner year of music, performing, events, accolades, and momentum for Adam's Attic. In April, as part of their latest Armed Forces Entertainment tour, the group performed for thousands of U.S. troops across Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, and Greece. The tour included music that can be heard on their fifth studio album "Can Anybody Hear Me." The album was released in July and is available on iTunes globally. It debuted to a sold-out crowd at House of Blues in Anaheim. The band collaborated on the album with Danish music producers Thomas Barsoe and Philip Halloun of OC Hit Factory.

Adam's Attic has received music placements on FoxSports and CBS Television shows, and continues to garner media attention in 2014. Their single "A Night Without Armor" is featured in the documentary film "The Price of Honor," which premiered in September. The same track became inspiration for the title of screenwriter Chaun Domingue's upcoming film "A Night Without Armor," which started production on November 7 and will include 11 songs from the band's music catalog. On November 4, the group was nominated in the Pop genre at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards held at The Fonda Theatre.
Still on the horizon for the remainder of the year, Adam's Attic is recording tracks for a Christmas song to be released digitally. Plans are also underway for their sixth international tour – this one to China in early 2015 – to promote "Can Anybody Hear Me."
The band is giving away a copy of their CD "Can Anybody Hear Me" as part of their social media promotion. To learn more – and to stay connected with band news, events, photographs, and performance dates – follow Adam's Attic on Twitter and Facebook.
